Seascape Wallhanging

Seascape
Wall Hanging
Original Design
Machine Pieced, Hand Quilted

This is my first Quilting project. I decided after setting up our web site and blog about quilting that i had better try a quilt myself. I played with several ideas for a pattern and then decided on a mostly original design. Then with my wife’s help we went threw the scrap boxes and found a seascape theme that i really liked. This is to be my “instructional” series on my first attempt. Hopefully it works out ok and is a confidence builder for you newbies like me. The picture is my pattern and fabric i choose to use, wish me luck!

New Granddaughter’s Quilt

New Baby to be Quilt
Pattern: Priscilla Bianchi
Quiltmaker Sept/Oct 2005

My adaptation is borderless. I am also using black/white prints in the block corners. She used solid blacks or whites in every other block. My design wall was used on the floor to arrange & rearrange the blocks. Take no notice of the missing block block in the corner. Finnally desided on a Nemo or fish block.
The quilt is now in the pinned all three layers together stage and some squares are quilted. Some of the squares design elements are being outline quilted, other the plain blocks are getting a flower element, the same as I used on the Wedding Gift Quilt. As “her” parents were the reipients of the wedding quilt I thought it in keeping.

Sorry about the poor quality picture. This was as it was pinned to the layout sheet, with one square yet to go!
